Dean Village is a small community within a valley in Edinburgh’s West End. The old stone buildings are built along the banks of the Water of Leith, a river that runs through the city. For a long time, Dean Village went unnoticed by tourists because it’s so well hidden (despite being only a ten minute walk from Princes Street!) – – but word seems to be getting around about its lovely historic buildings and picturesque beauty. I’m seeing more and more tourists exploring this quieter side of Edinburgh.
